Studios on the Square

…create a professional and positive setting where music lessons, classes and events are offered to the community at large by a collective of musician teachers dedicated to quality…

Tina Klein teaches piano at our studios.  Her first music experiences occurred within the Horseheads Schools playing brass instruments, piano and singing in choirs. She studied piano privately with local jazz great, Alan Leftkowicz and at Syracuse University.  She holds a BS in Psychology and MS in Business from Elmira College, working as a financial administrator. Tina is a lifetime pianist and is in her 4th year of teaching at our studios.

Tina's life experience gives her a unique view of the music teaching world. Tina believes strongly in personal development and lifetime learning, loving creativity in all forms.  She knows the many developmental and health benefits of music study and readily incorporates them into her teaching. Tina's motto...."learn to read, learn to play, create and make your own music!"  Mary Kathryn says,  "Tina has a real knack for tackling those reading hurdles that so many students encounter on their journey and goes on to add a bit of improvisational fun to every lesson. Her students enjoy their lessons immensely!"

"I began taking piano lessons as an adult beginner about a year ago. Since that time I have made excellent progress learning to play an instrument that I have always loved. I find Tina to very patient but persistent, very focused with an eye and ear for detail. I enjoy our lessons and look forward to them every week. Tina makes learning piano fun and achievable!"  William H.
